You guys will be watching the film on body language. Only the speaker's body will be visible. The goal of this test is to see whether listeners glean more information from facial expression or body language otherwise.
The following questions are absolutely optional(mark questions not answered with an 'X'):
Age (round to nearest multiple of ten [10, 20, 30, &c.])
Gender (M, F, O)
Relationship Status (S=Single, R=exclusive Relationship, M=Married (also common law, civil union), D=Divorced, W=Widowed)
Race/Ethnicity
Describe as well as you can what is going on. What do you think the topic is? How does the speaker feel about it? Is he telling a story, citing examples, giving an explanation? Toward whom is the topic directed?

It appears that he is talking to the viewer and that he is passionate about whatever he is talking about. One hand movement he made suggested to me that he was talking about 'everyone' at one point. Another seemed to suggest that he was talking specifically to whoever was watching. It looked like he was pointing to the camera. His surroundings may also tell a little bit about his subject, such as a documentary on something to do with nature or mountains.

At first, he seems agitated, because of the way he makes his hands tremor, but I think he is just trying to explain something that happened at this place, like a TV news reporter would. His hand movements make it seem like he is trying to get the listener to understand something. He seems to use them for emphasis.

I really don't know what he's talking about. It seems to me that he is giving an explanation of something. Some of his hand gestures seem to suggest that he could be passionate about it, or he could just be emphasizing certain points as he makes them. I think the topic is directed toward the camera or at least someone who will be watching the video (perhaps a group of students or something for a documentary.)

This man is very intense about his subject matter, which may deal with the environment given his location. Judging from his hand movements,he appears to be explaining something. He seems to be speaking to his audience in a documentary. He is determined to get his point across.

He seems to be telling a story at first, and then pointedly explaining something.

He's trying to explain something he finds interesting or feels passionate about. He's making an appeal to emotion and his target audience is probably one that is either unaware of the topic or general indifferent to it.

The man appears to be enthralled by his topic, i.e. excited in explanation. Based on the surrounding environment, it seems that his subject matter may be concerned with nature. Given the man's gestures and posture/position the short clip speaks to the documentary genre - conversational and informational - inclusive, if you will.

He seems to be very passionate about the story that he is telling. He points to the camera as though he is talking to the person watching. He uses both hands and leans in toward the camera to emphasize what he is talking about.

The scenery is very interesting that they are out in the mountains or a field. So maybe he is a conservationist or something.
Something that he is passionate about, and maybe suggesting what the person he is talking to can do to help.

He is explaining something to his audience. He shakes his hands to emphasize his point, and then does the sweeping motion to connect it together and to connect himself to his audience.

It seems like he is explaining something. Perhaps something regarding the environment he is currently in. Almost like it is in reference to something that occurs within the topic of geography based on the fact that he brings his hands together as if joining two thoughts.
