General Overview
Hey, guys! First, I'll post some instructions. Please click on your test group, and get ready to begin. Please watch the movie, and then answer the questions. Leave your answers in a comment on the blog: click on 'comments' at the bottom of the page, and click on the 'anonymous' button. Then, type your answers to the questions. You can open the post (and the questions) for easier reference by clicking on 'Show original post' on the left. Relevant instructions will be reposted on the individual sections.
(UPDATED) People Born AFTER the 28th of Any Month
This category was previously just for those born on the 31st of any month or the 29th of February. Due to a need to expand the size of the control group, I have asked that all born after the 28th fill out this survey, in order to provide a reliable control result.
You guys will be watching the film, but without sound. Try to understand as well as you can what is going on in the discourse. Don't read his lips: the idea of this test is to see what information can be gleaned from facial expression and body language alone.
The following questions are absolutely optional (mark questions not answered with an 'X'):
Age (round to nearest multiple of ten [10, 20, 30, &c.])
Gender (M, F, O)
Relationship Status (S=Single, R=exclusive Relationship, M=Married (also common law, civil union), D=Divorced, W=Widowed)
Race/Ethnicity
Describe as well as you can what is going on. What do you think the topic is? How does the speaker feel about it? Is he telling a story, citing examples, giving an explanation? Toward whom is the topic directed?

People Born on an Even Day of the Month
You guys will be watching the film on body language. Only the speaker's body will be visible. The goal of this test is to see whether listeners glean more information from facial expression or body language otherwise.
